AI-based multi-sensor fusion and tracking for high-target-density environments. A new approach to multi-object tracking that addresses the limitations of state-of-the-art probabilistic methods, aimed at new benchmarks in safety, autonomy and Australia's sovereign capability in AI, defence, surveillance and autonomous technologies. Funded by the Australian Government Department of Education.

Software Engineer, Sensor Fusion AI

DroneShield

• Industry-first sensor fusion AI for real-time multi-sensor drone detection and identification.
• Designed and maintain the Sensor Fusion Engine and threat analysis algorithms deployed in DroneSentry C2.
• Machine learning models and classifiers from classical ML to attention-based networks, plus probabilistic and physics-based tracking.
• Backend services, REST APIs and databases in Python, Go, C++ and SQL.
• Simulators, data replay, benchmarking and annotation tools. MLOps and CI/CD on GitLab. Introduced ClearML across the company.
• Work closely with the AI, Vision AI, data, hardware and engineering teams. Field trials, validation, customer demos, documentation, onboarding, mentoring and technical interviews.

Led the research and development of ThreatAI, an industry-first AI-powered threat analysis capability for DroneSentry C2: requirements and specification, the initial threat-intelligence algorithm, backend APIs and databases, flight and multi-sensor data analysis, and benchmarking. Awarded the University Medal on completion.
