About
I'm a sensor fusion AI engineer from India. I've been building software and robots since 2014, studied at the University of Technology Sydney, and now build counter-drone software in Australia.
The short version
I'm an engineer, researcher, speaker, mentor and advisor, specialising in sensor fusion, multi-object tracking, threat intelligence and autonomous systems for defence. I conceptualise, research, design, develop and deploy the AI and algorithms behind next-generation counter-uncrewed systems (C-UxS), and I contribute to Australia's sovereign AI and defence capability. My work has been recognised with national AI and defence industry awards and the University Medal, and from 2026 I'm researching the next generation of multi-sensor tracking as part of a National Industry PhD.
I like problems where the data is messy, the system has to run in real time, and someone is relying on the answer. That is what sensor fusion is.
How it started
I met the DroneShield team at UTS events. For my honours project I wrote an industry-linked project on AI threat analysis for DroneSentry C2, and I finished with First Class Honours and the University Medal. I joined full time in June 2023.
Before that I spent two years at UTS building things that left the lab. An aerial search and rescue system went into live operations in flood regions. Autonomy software for aerial, ground and underwater robots ran on edge hardware. I also taught deep learning, reinforcement learning and machine learning to undergraduates and postgraduates.
How I work
I work across teams: field engineers, application software, hardware, third-party sensor vendors and demo teams. I write documentation, run onboarding, mentor, and sit on technical interviews. I try to leave behind tools that let other people test and trust what I build.
Away from the screen
I swim. I hold a Remote Pilot Licence and an Aeronautical Radio Operator Certificate. I judge and help organise the UTS AI Showcase and mentor students who are working out how to start in industry.
